We extend warm greetings to you from the Our Lady of Good Counsel community.
Following the recent outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the country, the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Education Secretary for Kampala Archdiocese have issued strict public health directives for all educational institutions. To limit population movement, minimize mass gatherings, and safeguard our learners and staff, school management has suspended the following activities with immediate effect until further notice:
- Visiting Days (for boarding students)
- General Parents’ Meetings
- Music, Dance, and Drama (MDD) events
- School Exhibitions
Ongoing School Operations & Safety Protocols
Regular classes and academic operations will continue uninterrupted. However, we have enhanced our campus safety measures to protect both our boarding and day sections:
- Mandatory Screening: Temperature checks and hand sanitization are compulsory at the main gate.
- Strict Visitor Restrictions: Access to the boarding section is strictly prohibited.
- Day Scholar Vigilance: Parents of day scholars must keep children home if they exhibit any signs of illness and notify the school immediately.
- Hygiene Education: Teachers are actively reinforcing proper hygiene and sanitization practices with all students daily.
